This is our second bunch of baby chicks. Our first group, unfortunately, became bear snacks. These babies came in two groups, the first nine, six Turkens and three Barred Rocks, and the second, two and a half weeks laters, four more, two Golden Lakenvelders and two Blue Wyandottes.
Notice the bare necks of the Turkens. They are also known as Naked Necks. Although they resemble turkeys, hence the name Turkens, they are chickens.
